Streaming Media European Readers Choose Mediasite, Too

2009 October 26

This autumn, Streaming Media Magazine launched its first ever Streaming Media European Readers’ Choice Awards. We’ve been big fans of the US program (and it is not just because we won in 2007 and 2008) so it was great to see the publication take the program to a new audience.

Why care? Because this is the only award of its kind where you - the users of streaming media - cast the vote.

And you voted Mediasite Best Webcast Platform, making us the only winning company headquartered outside of Europe to be honored at the Streaming Media Europe Conference in London.

Sincere thanks to everyone who voted - here’s a 1-minute thank you (via Mediasite of course) from Ray Hassell who heads up our international team.

“Even though we emphasize companies based in Europe for these awards, it’s also important to recognize U.S.-based companies that have done a particularly good job of understanding and working in the European market. Clearly, Sonic Foundry is one of those companies, as this award demonstrates.”
