A Photo Essay on Why People Turn to Event Webcasting Partners

2009 June 4

On May 16, Sonic Foundry Event Services webcasted UC Merced’s historic graduation featuring First Lady Michelle Obama’s only university commencement address.

Here’s a behind the scenes sneak peak at the grounds, security, Mediasite set up and production of the live and online event, compliments of Sonic Foundry’s VP Services, Justin Jaeck.

As you’ll see, there’s a ton of moving pieces that all had to come together in that one final moment before going live. That is just one of the reasons why people turn to a third-party for webcasting high-profile events. Another is playing well with others – both the client and other vendors. I could go on, but I think these pictures speak louder than words.
