It’s Been Three Big Weeks for Online Learning, Blended Events and Mediasite

Sonic Foundry is currently in the middle of whirlwind US tour that I believe bodes well for both online learning and blended events (which in turn bode well for Mediasite and Sonic Foundry Event Services).

Last week:
WCET 21st Annual Conference in Denver, Colorado October 21-23 (#wcet09) and the Campus Computing live webcast “Managing Online Education: The 2009 WCET-Campus Computing Project Survey of Online Education.” While the report found online education programs faced several challenges, 48% of colleges responding said online education enrollments are rising, and 95% said online enrollment has increased over fall 2008.

This week:
15th Annual Sloan-C International Conference on Online Learning/ALN in Orlando October 28-30 (#sloanaln). As I write, we’re in the middle of live streaming day two. Great conversations happening both on-site and online, with people both in Orlando and at home wishing they could be in two session tracks at once. We’re in both the virtual and physical exhibit halls (booth #511). Say hi.
