The New Mediasite ML Recorder Debuts at InfoComm 2010

2010 June 24

At InfoComm 2010 we announced our lastest mobile Mediasite Recorder - the new Mediasite ML. As you’ll see in this video (embedded below and shot by our friends at rAVe Publications when they visited us), it’s a pretty amazing little piece of hardware.

Here are a few things we consider to be important in a mobile rich media recorder (and you probably should too if you are in the market):

  • Portability – small, light, easy to move around
  • Ease of use – especially if you have unfamiliar users operating on location
  • Durability – ruggedized to survive the torments of travel (or simply moving around your organization)
  • Reliability – working every time, all the time

With the new Mediasite ML Recorder, we feel we’ve accomplished all of that – the greatest improvement coming in our 39-percent reduction in weight (and 14-percent reduction in size). At around 13 Lbs, the Mediasite ML is arguably the lightest, most usable mobile rich media encoding appliance available. For an inside look at the design process, check out this interview with our Director of Operations Joe Fahrenkrug.

And, the fact that presenters don’t need to change the way they present (no installation of software, no uploading of content in advance), means you have everything you need to run a silky smooth event; making rich media content available live during the event (if you choose) and available on-demand immediately following.

If you want to see the new Mediasite ML in action, keep your eyes open for Sonic Foundry Event Services at an event near you.

Or just give us a call. We’d be happy to help you lighten up a bit.
